Grappling someone is a great way to convince them to move, even in armor. Armor rarely actually prevents you being grappled or restrained. That's one of the classic ways to defeat the armored is to grapple them to the ground and then stab them in the gaps. I'm rarely think the heavily armored should be immune to being grappled. I do feel with that much reduction the previous point is more significant. Shrug Off feels way too strong, but I'm not sure it is. I'd avoid handing out the Fighting Style at 1st as all those, except the Fighter, who get a choice of Fighting Styles get them at 2nd level (or later with some subclasses). It's not a deal breaker, but I'd hesitate a bit before giving a class both.Ĭharisma as a saving throw here is unexpected. Heavy Armor only turns up on one class and 1d12 HD only comes up on the Barbarian. Remember that 1d12 and Heavy Armor are both very rare features.
